I am feeling depressed as of late.

Being stressed up over my FYP and others. I guess that a person has to go through "potholes" in his/her life in order to become tougher to deal with the very practical society that awaits them in their venture for work.

I have never been feeling so depressed in my life before, mixed with work and other problems. I feel like downing a barrel of hard-liquor to drown myself in the sea of alcohol.

Complications are all gushing into my brain now. I feel that i am gonna lose it in any minute........

I have been leaving this blog untouched for several months...

Next Sunday will the the YOG and i will be hosting my Solar Boat Race section at Marina Barrage. I am lucky that i will be working only for 5 days throughout the entire YOG.

I also must prepare for the upcoming examinations which i wanted to raise my GPA to my desired value. I cannot wait for the official end of YOG which is on the 26th August and it will be the end of my FYP.

Do you believe in karma? Do you believe that every time a person does a good or bad deed, that it will eventually come back to that person? Do you believe that no one will be able to defy karma?

Here is a story on a person who is too used to having a good life and yet to suffer any serious setback to mature himself.

He regards himself as an intelligent person who is good in achieving great results, be it academic or outdoor activities. He is also able to get anything he wants when he opens his mouth or throw tantrums in order to get one.

However, he looks down on people who cannot do as well as him and is mean to them, especially his siblings. He is too much overconfident in himself in his upcoming major exams and believes that studying extremely hard when exams are near is going to help him.

Based on reality, that is not going to have much of an impact and helps in a minor way. As time goes by, day by day, he is going to realize that he has wasted so much time on gaming and hanging out with his "friends" that he neglected his studies and start burning the midnight oil.

Eventually, when the exams are over and he collects his result, he will know that he failed to do well and it will be a cold-hard-fact.

Review:

Latest album from Usher doesn't seem to impress much despite the anticipation.

The album does not have any direction and it feels randomly cut with the usual flirt songs and just a few highlights. Production is good but the lyrics are recycled and makes the album feel watered down.

Tomorrow will be the commencement of my final year in Singapore Polytechnic. It will be a very busy straight 4 months for me as i will be doing my FYP and YOG commitments.

How time files, in a blink of an eye 2 years has passed and i can remember vividly my Freshmen Orientation days a couple of years ago. Next year will be my conscription in the NS and time will again fly very quickly and i will be out to the working society looking for a job in the clean energy industry.

I will not be blogging as frequently for this upcoming new semester due to busy schedules.

3 more weeks to the commencement of Year 3.

Time files too fast for me to grab on. Currently in the midst of my ITP-FYP and the YOG pre-games event ended last Tuesday. It was relatively successful but certain things need to be improved for the Clean Energy station.

My team are coming up with designs on the posters which we are going to put up at next month's SP Go Green event to be held on the 22th of April. We are doing relatively new topic called Carbon Footprint. It is quite an interesting subject to look into.

Going to school everyday makes me tired and pretty worn out. It will be good if my team and I can have a week off...

Barrage Rehearsal

It was a long day today at Marina Barrage. My team are responsible for conducting the solar boat race on the 23th which is a week from today.

The International Olympic Committee president is gonna visit the Marina Barrage to find out what is it exactly about. His status is equivalent to a head of state, which puts him in a powerful position.

We have to put up a good show no matter what on the next week. After that, my team can have some rest from the weight that is gonna be lifted for them after next Tuesday. We can then concentrate on the upcoming FOP and SP Go Green.

We also received a good news. Our product will arrive in Singapore from the USA by tonight and we cannot wait to test them out. These are professional race boats and they are super fast.

Man, the excitation keeps on getting better and better.

I am becoming increasingly pissed with "them". Our work is due in 2 weeks time and we are feeling the soaring sense of urgency to meet that deadline.

"They" wanted good products but insist on keeping the cost down and discard our idea of importing them from overseas. We ended up having to add weights to our phone bills by calling more than 15 local shops islandwide. I also feel bad for my lecturer who has to placate "them" by saying we are doing everything we can to keep the costs down.

The fact is we really need the support to get and produce the things for the "Big" day in 2 weeks time. My team are fed up and i wanna tell them in my head to go F' themselves. We can spend much to get the things done in good quality for presentation.

Now "they" want us to buy cheap goods, they make sure that they don't have a big shock on the big day that WHY the things are so fucking slow, WHY are the things so..... whatever.

The year 2 exams are finally over. My FYP will start immediately tomorrow and i think is too rush as i cannot have even a day off of exams.

However, i think tomorrow is a short day as we have not even ordered the products. The deadline is very tight as we have just less than 2 weeks to get it done and for a field test at Marina Barrage. I also have the Service Excellence training at school on Saturday for the YOG.

Man, the schedule is too tight for me to catch a breather...

I once thought that i can finally get what i wanted when i saved my money for 1 month. An iPhone 3G-S using my own money this time. I was planning to get it right after the Chinese New Year but i am told to wait for the new version of 4G.

Although i reacted calmly, i was fuming extremely hard inside. I saved up so much for the student plan which is affordable and lots of benefits. The new 4G will not have any student plan so quickly.

I realized that i tend to get very upset easily nowadays, even minor issues can piss me off. Could it be long years of anger suppression is going to spill out? I have contained my frustrations and anger throughout my entire life and could not longer hold it any longer. The demon inside me is struggling to break free.

Trying to keep things calm....... This blog is slowly becoming my area to blow off some volcanic steam.

Injustice, prejudice & bias are the words that shrouded my mind in this particular day. I was shooting Nerf gun towards my pillow and accidentally hit my brother's leg. He shot back intentionally and "accidentally" hit my sensitive area. He so call felt sorry and i knew that was fucked up shit.

I am very surprised that my mum did not reprimand my brother and instead saying that this is what i deserved for playing. I was fucking shocked when i heard this shit. I respond to my stupid brother with profanities and she scolded me.

I am starting to think that my parents are being bias towards me and may be seeking retribution of past issues during my adolescent years. I remembered vividly how my mum caned me very fiercely when i did something wrong. She did not do that to my brothers when they grew up. They are really "Kuai Lan" sometimes and she just scolded them. I also remembered how my dad hit me in the face when i was primary 2 when i refused to go to school. It hurt me really badly(physically & mentally) and i can still remember the situation back then.

What the hell is happening in my familia? I am thinking that whatever things i do will NEVER be appreciated. I am fine with the fact that i did not receive a thank you but at least show some gratefulness.

I bought food and things for Mum during her birthday to show my love and fillial piety. Did my brothers even say "Happy Birthday" to her. Hell No. I bought things for my Dad during his birthday and food occasionally to show my love too. Did my brothers do that? FUCK NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why am i always to be blamed for things happening? I hate the fact that my parents and siblings treat me as a punching bag and show their anger towards when their mood is bad. I HAVE bad moods too!!!!!!!!

I gritted my teeth fucking tightly when mum scolded me today and i suppressed my anger accumulated throughtout my life and waiting for the beast to be released. Don't blame me if i turn into a nasty son of a bitch!!!!!!

Time really files. It is going to be the end of year 2 for me and the commencement of my FYP right after the examinations.

My group have chosen a very challenging project which accepts no failure and a very short time line for testing and completion. We are going to be involved in this year's YOG event where our area of responsibility is to modify toy boats into a solar-assisted system for the athletes participating in the YOG. This is a huge risk we are taking as SP's reputation is on the line as the best engineering polytechnic in the whole of Singapore.

Besides that, it will be a year more to my conscription in the NS. I wonder what life is gonna be as i am most likely to fall into the "special" PES which require a couple months more training.

Life's obstinate, do not procrastinate.

I saw my former driving instructor on my way back home. Well actually, he was not my true instructor, he just took me on circuit lessons.

He asked me whether did i pass my driving test and sort of looking-down-on-me attitude and i did not reply him. Deep down, i was fuming with anger and wanna kick his ass really hard.

He did not realize that i am a slow learner and frankly been spoon-fed by my patient instructor, i thank him a lot for his guidance.

He also claimed that he is a "hard-line" person when he coaches driving students and he also reminded me that being "hard" tend to offend people easily.

Eat your words!!!!!!!

Don't push me too far, that is a warning to anybody out there!!!!! I have endured enough motherfuckers who looked down on me and my family since young and do not blame me when i suddenly snapped and beat the shit out of anybody regardless of who they are and what their age who gets in my wrath.

My group have chosen a big project with my friend's team to work on for FYP. The stakes are very high as we will be representing SP to submit our final product to the YOG event representatives.

We will be making toy boats with solar power for the youth athletes to play with. But, we are still waiting confirmation from our lecturer.

If we manage to get this project, it will be Do Or Die for us.

School has begun on Monday.

I was very tired during the whole yesterday and was having a serious cold and sneezing all day. Immediately the lecturers began teaching the new topics and are rushing through them as this term is short and busy.

We have many things to do & prepare like PBLs, lab tests, debate etc. This is gonna be the most tiring term i will ever have in my poly life and there will be more during year 3 where we will be concentrating on our FYP.

I am now wondering which type of present to get for my Dad and my uncle Ming have introduced me a place called Cuppage Terrace in Somerset.

That's right, i am getting something good for my Dad this year.

End of 2009 is coming.

I wonder what 2010 has installed for me?. This year has been a tiring & slacking one for me. I do not have the "kick" to study and revise my work compared to Year 1. I just hope my results is good for my MST 2.

This is also the year that i found out some issues that make me filled with enormous hatred for a particular bitch inside the Chew family. That made me realized what really happened few years back.

She made my family life miserable by taking away what is rightfully ours and looking down on us since decades ago. She always acted rich and high class in front of my dad and uncles. I remembered a few weeks back where she said something which made my dad snapped in front of our family members.

I swear i wanna grab her by the neck and punch her in the face continuously until the face bleeds and disfigured.

Yunnan: An Ideal Place For the Peacefuls......

I am back from my 8-day trip to Yunnan.

My family went with my father's aunt's family and my uncle Ming.

Day 1: We arrived in Kunming, the capital city of Yunnan. We had lunch in a hotel and traveled on a 5 hour bus trip to Dali. On our way, we saw breathtaking views of mountain and rice fields and think that China is super big. When we reached Dali, our bus broke down as the clutch was damaged and fried. We stood outside the cold wind for some time and it was unbearable. We waited for some 15 mins until the arrival of our backup bus.

Day 2: We set off for a famous temple in Dali. We also heard that our Lai Shifu (that's what the people call the bus drivers over there as a sign of respect), fixed the bus under cold conditions the night before in under 3 hours. The temple was beautiful and was restored after the Cultural Revolution. We saw beautiful views of the Erhai Lake. After lunch, we watched performances by the Bai Tribe which is one of the 56 ethnic minorities in China. We bused to Lijiang after that.

Day 3: We traveled to Shangri-La county 1st thing in the morning. The place was 3380 above sea level and oxygen was thin. We need to purchase oxygen bottles to ensure that we do not pant as we walked. We sat in cable cars as they brought us up to the Shika Mountain which is 4600m above sea level on the summit. The view was panoramic and super beautiful.

Day 4: We returned to Lijiang and went to the ancient city of Lijiang and shopped around the area. But the place outside was full of "wolves" trying to pick off any loose belongings. I bought some ginger sweets for my friends and they will get to enjoy them when i meet them.

Day 5: We went to Black Dragon Pool and the Yulong Snow Mountain and the water there was crystal clear and clean. We took photos and i took one with a Falcon on my arm. The Falcon was heavy and damn strong.

Day 6-8: We bused back to Kunming and it was not as fun as in Dali & Lijiang. We visited silk factories and watched performances by minorities and their voices were sharp and and sweet, they did not need microphones to project their voices. On the last day, we visited flower shops and bused to the airport on our flight back to the lion city.

Yunnan is a place i would recommend people to go and visit. The air there is super fresh and and temperature is just nice.

Review:

This is the latest album by Chris Brown.

The album's musical direction has changed with this release. Chris decided to explore Europop dance music and incorporated much of it in his songs instead of being the typical urban artist.

The album kicks off with the electronic & movie-influenced "I Can Transform Ya" to spice the listener up.

Although there may be controversy over the song "Famous Girl", that will not drag the album down like what the "professional" critics did.

Overall, the album is well balanced with upbeat & ballad songs.

I read the pages on the reviews on Chris Brown upcoming album. I was disgusted by the way it was reviewed.

They focus more on his mistakes than his attempt to bring up innovative genres to widen his musical palette. They scrutinized every song to look out for flaws to bring him down in every possible way.

People need to leave him alone and recognize talents and not personal demons. I love both Chris Brown & Rhianna music and they are the new breed of future pop music.

This is the latest album by Rhianna.

Rated R definitely suits the content and the sound of this album. This is also the first time that Rhianna uses explicit lyrics in her songs.

The album is the darkest work she has done yet. It might be also be her best album despite not having mega hits like "Umbrella". Sound of the album is rock-influenced and rough. It suits the "angry" mood for Rhianna.

This album is about Rhianna unleashing the "beast within" her to a more hardcore type compared to her girl next door and pop image as evident in her previous albums.

I am so happy that my youngest brother became the TOP student of his class!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He used to be a dilly-dally lazy dude who could not care more about his studies which was same as my case when i was a primary student.

We gave him a personal tutor which is an experienced teacher who is patient and willing to teach and explain to him slowly. Many thanks to Mdm Teo for leading my brother to succeed.

My dad used to say: Determination and self-discipline can show you the doors of success. How true is that.

What is making celebrity news lately is regarding continued anger towards R&B star Chris Brown assault on Rihanna.

It's time to get over the unhappy episode. Some are really narrow-minded.

I feel that this is the way media work to sell gossips of the stars around. I am a fan of Chris Brown's music and i am one of those who recognizes artistic value of artists. He makes great and enjoyable music and is gonna release his new album on December 8th. He is reaching out to more genres to make sure that he has no ceiling above himself.

His new single I Can Transform Ya has been hitting the charts worldwide and received good response from fans and critics. I have seen some of the criticisms made on Youtube's comment boxes are really derogatory. It makes me wanna puke.

He had apologized countless time for the incident. This certainly does not mean he has to apologize every time when he is on national television, that is humiliating for any person. He even went to the extent of making apologetic songs specially crafted for Rihanna.

Humans make mistakes and everyone is entitled to moments of anger.

PS: Let Chris Brown keep some of his pride.

Momentum Buildup

Next week will be the official release of the highly anticipated Call of Duty 6: Modern Warfare 2.

It will also be my birthday this Sunday and nothing will be better than to get my hands on new headphones and the game.

Coincidentally, my dad is purchasing a new desktop soon and i hope will be a high definition monitor and excellent graphics card for gaming.

School's been quite relaxing as we do not have big projects and just presentations. But the modules are highly theoretical.

The CRS was fun as we can debate at the end of the semester on controversial topics that is happening around us.

My birthday is coming soon and there are 2 things i wanna have: A new Sennheiser HD438 headphone and Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 which is the most anticipated 1st-person shooter game.

My GEM is quite okay as i studied POA fundementals which is easy as i have the background back in the secondary school days.

Review:

This was Jay-Z's comeback album after releasing The Black Album in 2003. It was highly anticipated by fans and it became as Jigga's highest selling album in the opening week.

However, it was a disappointment comeback as the album felt rushed and the joints placed disorderly. Jigga's rapping skills are always on the "A" game but the beats were very weak.

Although much of the album was produced by Just Blaze, Kanye West and The Neptunes. They did not bring their best form in making this a good record. The only highlight moment for Jay-Z was songs produced by Dr.Dre.

My only favourite track was Lost One ( Produced by Dr.Dre) which blended in piano loop and heavy atmospheric beats.

Overall, this album was a wasted effort.

Next week will be the beginning of Sem 2 calender. I am so gonna miss my long hours sleep as my timetable starts at 8 am and 9am on alternate days.

My driving test is coming in a month's time. I have to make sure that i work damn hard to clear the test in one shot. It's over 6 months of hard work and i must not let it come to naught.

I also cannot wait for the holiday trip to Yunnan, China where many breathtaking sceneries awaiting to paint my memory lane.

I am addicted to Reasonable Doubt and must bump the album everyday. The album has soared to my top 5 greatest hip hop albums of all time.

Nobel Peace Obama

Many have raised their eyebrows regarding US president Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize.

This is definitely an extraordinary achievement.

I feel that it put even more pressure on expectations for him now that he accepted the prize. He indeed have achieve things that people have thought impossible. But overly high expectations can be dangerous too.

Some critics feel that a president who is engaged in 2 wars in the Mideast is not eligible for this prize. We must not forget he was one of those who angrily opposed the wars during his senate stint few years ago. He is just doing his best on "damage control" during his 1st term in office.

He may have notable achievements in foreign affairs, but people are getting impatient with him on domestic issues. They have to realize that it is very difficult to run a superpower country like United States. Economic recovery will take some time and patience is needed.

This award shows that he has achieved what many people thought will be impossible.

The Pursuit of Happyness

Plot & Review:

The story talks about a man called Chris Gardner struggling to make ends meet by selling bone-density scanning machine.

It starts off as an ordinary man working as a salesman running around the city if San Francisco selling the scanner to pay rent & daycare. However, he was turned down by every doctor he met.

The inability to pay rent and daycare strained his relationship with his wife Linda who had to take on double-shifts to contribute to the family. One day, when he was walking by a street lane, he saw a guy who drove a Ferrari Testarossa and asked him: " What do you do & how do you do it?

The guy replied that he is a stockbroker and it sets the mind of Chris who is determined to fight for a competitive internship that only takes in 1 out of 20 people in a 6 month trial.

Due to Chris causing his wife to miss her shift on one day, she decided to packed up and leave the family in search for a better life in New York.

Chris, enrolled in a no-pay internship and with his son, moved to a motel while himself begin attending the 6 month internship. While he managed to sell off all his scanners and seemingly doing good. A letter from the IRS stated that they confiscated a significant amount of money for not paying taxes.

Now with no money, the father & son were evicted and slept inside a Metro station. They managed to find some shelter in a church which takes in homeless people on a daily basis but must leave on the next day. Day by day, they struggled to be in time for the booking in session.

On the last day of his internship, he signed many accounts that eventually landed him a job in the stockbroking company and the light of the future is bright for both father and son. The emotional Chris ran to his son's daycare and hugged him tightly as he is assured of a good and better life.

This movie is definitely a must-watch. i consider this to be Will Smith's most touching movie.

Last night we celebrated my cousin Ethan's birthday at Home Team NS adventure Centre at bukit batok.

Many people were there as we sat around the chalet and chat as we had not met each other for a long time. I sipped Vodka mixed with lime juice and Chivas Regal Whiskey 18 mixed with lime juice.

I like the taste of Whiskey as it leaves an icy feeling in my throat.

Into the night, my Uncle Kok begun to feel tipsy and started rambling about his work woes as a taxi driver. He rambled explicitly that how arrogant youths today see taxi drivers in their eyes.

Good that he can let his troubles of being scolded by taxi customers at the chalet rather than sealing them up.

We left at around 9.45pm for home.

Could Alonso's joining of Ferrari's revive the prancing horse fire? It very well could, because he is one of the most skillful drivers in Formula One today.

Kimi Raikkonen will be joining Mclaren alongside Lewis Hamilton and this also could be his chance of getting to top dog position as he did in 2007.

Review:

This was the debut album by Snoop Dogg( then Snoop Doggy Dogg). This was the second album of the G-funk genre after Dr.Dre's The Chronic.

The album painted a grim and gritty picture of street life in the 90s and how dangerous it can be. It talks about taking drugs, women as hoes was a common issue according to the lyrics.

This is not the album for those people who take music lyrics seriously.

Snoop Dogg's flow was very harmonious and gives fans a laidback feel and party vibe. Compared to The Chronic. It had a more relaxing and laidback tone whereas The Chronic had a more serious and darker tone.

The sound is very smooth and this is definitely a staple at pubs or clubs.

The album was produced by Dr.Dre who was then an engineer for the G-Funk genre and it was very well-produced. It was sample-heavy as The Chronic with multi-layered sound that is easy to dance to.

The Chronic & Doggystyle stands out as the pinnacles of G-funk & West Coast Hip-hop as they define the sound.

This is definitely one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.

I have given up hope that my brother will change for the better as he grows up.

This little bastard has absolutely no manners and respect for people. Just now, my youngest brother was watching VCD when he barged in and switch to the channel he wanna watch. Can anybody stand this kind of arrogance and rudeness??

There are many issues i am bringing up here and not gonna tone down in my post. He thinks that he is the king of the household, everybody has to clean up for him. He has no respect for my Mum & Dad when they speak to him. He sometimes chose not to answer them nor even look at them. Do not even talk about respecting his siblings.

He thinks that everybody needs to give in to his demands and have good and extravagant life. Buying expensive phones, eating good food, wearing nice clothes.

So what if he belongs to the most senior and high-ranking position in his CCA? Does that enable him to have the built-in incentive to do anything he damn well please? He claimed that he is studying hard in school everyday, but the results was shitty and what has he gotta say about his "achievements". He is suffering from what i call a "home-school split persona". I wonder why Mum & Dad are putting up with this prick's behavior??? I had enough of my youngest brother being bullied by him.

The Ugly Truth

I caught The Ugly Truth on Thursday with Tetsu and it was a damn good show indeed.

The plot talks about a career-minded & control freak woman searching for love and met a man she dislikes and eventually got together.

We were laughing throughout the show and it was filled with heavy usage of sexual slangs and comedic-filled moments.

After the show, we ate at BK and shopped around ION Orchard and finally trained home.

I think i will celebrate by buying music and Mythbusters DVDs to watch throughout my remaining holidays.

I initially thought that i might failed my CTA & Physics but the moderation system is damn good to us man.

Review:

This is the final installment of the Blueprint series. This is also of the most anticipated albums of 2009.

The sound of the album is far different from the previous series. It has more of a futuristic & atmospheric feel. The album incorporated abundant music sampling similar to the 1st series.

The 1st series had a retro feel while the 2nd had a mixed pop and rock feel.

The album has many guests which is same as the 2nd series. Lyrically, Jay-Z's still on top of the game, but not much interesting things to say.

This might be an enjoyable record. But it will certainly left only a small imprint in the people minds and be forgotten in a while. It does not have the "power & energy" to make it a classic record as The Blueprint.

However, this series is certainly better than the 2nd series which was a flop in my mind.

I hung out with my buddy Leonard last Friday at Tampines CS to catch the movie G-Force. Its been a long time since i met him.

Overall the show was passable as the plot was messy. After the show, we sat at Macdonalds to grab a bite while catching up with our lives over the past few months and i enjoyed our chats.

I met up with Mark & Zi Jie last Saturday at Parkway Parade's Mos burger where we caught up with our lives over the past 6 months since our last gathering.

We sat at Mos Burger for around 2 hours and window-shopped around Parkway before we bused down to Tampines. We walked around Tampines Mall until dinner.

We went to Times bookstore to look at books and i was attracted to Current Affairs and i bought a book which cost me a bomb.

The outing has been fun for me. Thanks mark & Zi Je. Hope to meet up again when all of us are free.

These days the haze situation is terrible. My throat is very dry and i need litres of H2O to compensate for it.

Review:

I was going to buy The Blueprint 3 but it will only be released next month. I stumbled upon the 1st volume of The Blueprint & i was elated as this is a must-have album for any Jay-Z or hip-hop fan.

This was the album that cemented Jay-Z's position as the King of New York in the hip-hop world 8 years ago.

The lion's share of the album was produced by Kanye West & Just Blaze. This album also propelled them to fame as their skills in production was lauded by the fans and critics alike.

This time, the producers incorporated blended soulful samples that makes the entire album feel like a "70s mixed into the hip-hop music" that appeals to every corner of the hip-hop community.

This was also the period that Jay-Z did a one-man show on his solo album compared to other albums which featured many artists. Thus, he was able to demonstrate his rapping skills and flow to the fullest.

The album flowed very well like a modern soul hip-hop album that is radio-friendly with hits like Izzo(H.O.V.A), Girls Girls Girls & Song Cry.

Many fans and critics have compared the status of The Blueprint & Reasonable Doubt as they debate which is his best record.

In my opinion, Reasonable Doubt can never be overshadowed by any future Jay-Z albums and will remain a timeless classic in the hip-hop world.

Needless Publicity

I read a report on Channelnewsasia website that reported that a challenge took place between a 747 jet & Porsche GT3.

It was an effort to beef up publicity and excitement for the upcoming F1 race at the end of September.

Needless to say, Porsche won the race challenge as it is very light compared to the jumbo airplane.

I think that this publicity is a waste of money and time as many people already knew who was gonna come out on top before the challenge was even started.

My opinion is that the Porsche should challenge jets like F-16 or F-15, then it will be an eye-opener.

I am gonna spend time reviewing hip-hop albums and honing my driving skills as my practical test falls on late November.

Next week will be official release date of Jay-Z's highly anticipated The Blueprint 3.

Currently there are 2 singles from the album: D.O.A( Death of Autotune) & Run This Town featuring Kanye West & Rihanna.

The official tracklist revealed that much of the album is produced by Kanye West. I expect the sound to be smooth and sample-heavy as these are the trademark productions of Kanye West. Long time collaborators like Timbaland also contributed to the album.

Tomorrow will be my last paper and is off that 6-week holiday for me. I am using the break to meet up with friends like Tetsu & Ryo, Jun Huang, Zi Jie & Mark.

Its been a while since i met them, there will be lots of catching up to do.

Review:

This was the debut album by Jay-Z.

This is one of the pinnacle Mafioso Rap albums in the hip-hop community. The album gave a grim picture of a hustler's life which Jay-Z had been through in his youth days.

Production was by established producers like Ski, DJ Premier & Clark Kent and the sound definitely suit the atmosphere of being a Mafia. Tales like making grands, drinking expensive wines, women etc.

In terms of lyrics, this was certainly his most honest projection of his "Hustler State of Mind" in the life he was living in the mid 90s.

Instant classics like Dead Presidents, Can't Knock the Hustle, D'evils, Bring It On are my track picks for the album.

The smooth sound of Dead Presidents can make you bump the track whenever you are driving in the night in the city.

Although the sound may be raw and unpolished compared to his later albums like the critically acclaimed The Blueprint which was also consider his best record in the 2000s. I consider this to be Jay-Z's best record in his career.

This is certainly the album to add to any Jay-Z or hip-hop fans collection and being one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time.

My 2 out of my 4 papers are done. Maths & Physics.

Physics was manageable and i hope to pass it while Maths could be my most confident module as it was relatively easy for me.

I am left with 2 modules which are CTA & EID where they are my year 2 curse. I must pass them no matter what.

After Maths paper today, i trained down to The Heeren HMV to search around for rap albums.

Guess what i found?

Reasonable Doubt by Jay-Z!!!!. This is the album which i had searched for a long time which will be reviewed in the upcoming week.

This time, it was a 5-0 thrashing of Wigan & it was definitely the highlight match of the week. 4 of the rising stars Wayne Rooney, Michael Owen, Nani, Dimitar Berbatov performed beautifully on Saturday's match.

This is a message to Manchester United rivals. Do not get too happy just because Ronaldo is out of Manchester United squad and think that they are weakened. The 4 strikers are just getting on their A game.

In three more days, my exam will commence.

Physics will be the first paper and this is the module that i wanna past badly. All papers will be 2 hrs 10mins and will last for 2 weeks. I am quite fearful because the questions that appeared in the past years papers are complex.

All of the modules except Maths which is the module i am most confident in scoring good grades. I cannot wait unitl the last paper which is CTA as it is the most complex module i have done so far and i will be just happy with a pass grade.

Just bear with it for 2 more weeks and it will be a rewarding 6-week break for me.

The 09/10 EPL season has begun.

For Manchester United, it was a good start for this season as our Rooney bagged 1 goal against Birmingham.

I do admit that the Red Devils has weakened a little bit when the megastar Ronaldo left for Real Madrid & Tevez for that arrogant Man City.

Edwin Van De Sar & Rio Ferdinand are on the injured list. So this is gonna be a challenge for Red Devils to hold on to the EPL title this season as Chelsea & Liverpool are more hungrier than ever for the cup.

Fergie may have to follow Arsene Wenger's footsteps to promote young players as veterans like Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs & Van der Sar are reaching the retirement age.

Review:

This was perhaps the most soulful hip-hop record ever.

2Pac wrote this album with such in-depth emotions and confessions in his life it will made you feel like you are in his shoes.

Every track talks about problems he faced throughout his life and was well-produced. It has a huge influence in me and i can easily picture the scenes in the lyrics in my mind as i bump the album.

Tracks like Dear Mama, So Many Tears, Temptations proved without a shadow of a doubt that 2Pac went "inside" his heart to write the poetic lyrics that made this album one of the greatest & most influential albums of all time.

Many critics & fans concluded that All Eyez on me was 2Pac's greatest record. But i beg to differ, this was perhaps his greatest artistic record ever as it possesses a mystery charm that will leave a huge & unforgettable imprint in your mind.

Review:

This was the second studio album by Dr.Dre since 1992 release of instant masterpiece The Chronic.

Dr.Dre wants to make a point of his importance in the hip-hop community in this album. However, the number of guest appearances in the album was abundant and it was almost like a mixtape album that promotes lesser-known rappers.

Almost all tracks have featured artists though Dr.Dre have some solos.

2001 continues the content of West Coast hip-hop that talks about guns, drugs,women etc... It was repetitive lyrically and in content.

Production-wise, it was very well produced and Dr.Dre collaborated with Mel-man to bring a modern sound to suit the music scene of the late 90s. This album embodies a smooth sound compared to The Chronic which gave a multi-layered slightly rougher sound.

My favourite track is The Message produced by Lord Finesse which was a dedication song and contains no profanity which what the whole album could be.

I went out with my family for dinner at Parkway parade in an Indonesian-style restaurant. The food was very spicy and i sweated all over my face.

Overall the food was good.

Shopped around after dinner and i bought Nas' album God's Son which will be reviewed in the upcoming week. I also bought a new pair of sports shoes from Royal Sporting house for my China holiday in the holiday season.

Next week will be a busy week as it is the time for submission of reports and assignments. It will be the time to do past year papers to prepare myself for the exams which is in 2 weeks time!

I must pass everything as i do not wanna forward module because it will be a waste of time & money.

By the way, A Happy 19th birthday to my good friend Ash.

Burnt out/Mom's Birthday

Exams are coming in 3 weeks time.

I have been burnt out by the assignments i am currently doing and the modules to be honest is sucking the air put of my lungs.

I had such a difficult time coping with physics and i almost wanting to give up on it. The lecture lesson is super boring as we do not know what the lesson was about. The other modules are just so-so and i quickly hope that the exam week will pass soon and enjoy my 6-week holidays.

As for today, i trained down to Tampines Mall straight after my tutorial class because it is my mum's birthday. I bought a Gucci-like pattern handbag and it is affordable. I surprised my mum as i returned home and she loves the bag i bought her.:)

The Blueprint 2: The Gift & The Curse

Review:

This was the follow-up to the critically-acclaimed The Blueprint. The lion's share of the album was produced by Kanye West & Just Blaze.

There was generally no concept in view of this album and was split into 2 discs, Gift & Curse.

The gift part consists of upbeat & radio-friendly tracks while the Curse part consists of heavier songs. The album has tremendous amount of guests compared to just one on The Blueprint.

The tracks feels "typical" though there are several highlights on the album. 03' Bonnie & Clyde featuring Beyonce which was produced by Kanye West embodies a smooth R&B infused sound which became one of Jay-Z's most successful singles on the charts.

High Stakes

Whoo hoo!!! I passed my FTT in my second take just now at the CDC.

I took the last time slot at 8pm and i heard from my friend that night tests are easier as the staff wanna get things done over with. I think it is quite true as the last FTT was more difficult than this time round.

I am ready to book my circuit training and practical test date( 3 months from now). When the date draws nearer, i would have to book more lessons slots to ensure that i have the quality of skill during my test day.

As for next Tuesday, it is gonna be a big day for me as i have a presentation on Analysis of Clean energy which percentage is 50%. This will determine whether i pass or fail this module....

So the stakes are high for next week. Be prepared.

Day off

I woke up feeling chilly on Sunday around the wee hours. I realized i was having a fever when i took my temperature.

I visited the doctor and had a MC to cover me today. Luckily for today is just tutorial lessons and not lectures. I have to rush through my CTA report with my group members when i return to school tomorrow as Wednesday is the official deadline for submission.

As for the soccer news. Every Manchester Untied haters out there beware, Michael Owen's predatory instincts have returned and is on the hunt for the 4th Premier League title this upcoming 09/10 season( watch out Liverpool).

So what if David Beckham tips Chelsea to be winners of the title next season? It is too early to tell who will win. Although Manchester United has lost 2 world-class players( Tevez & Ronaldo). I am confident that Manchester United will still be the best team in the EPL.

It's been a while since i updated.

Just started the 12th week of my term 2 calender. I have gotten back my Maths & CTA results & Maths will probably be my saving grace out of my 5 modules as this is my best points scored. I don't wanna talk about CTA as i was "this" close to passing it.

Now more projects & PBILs are flowing in and there is just so much to do and revise throughout the remaining semester 1.

Besides all that, i am taking FTT in 2 weeks time & i cannot fail again otherwise my PT will have to be delayed by a month.

I have finally mastered my driving skills and all that is left is the parking( parallel & perpendicular). I sure hope to obtain my QDL this year.

Finally my MST was over!

This allowed me to have some breathing space and take a step back to relax. Out of the 4 modules, Maths is probably the subject i am most confident on and physics the least.

Right after the last paper, my clique went to Cathay Cineleisure to catch Transformers 2( My second show). Before the show, i went to HMV and reserve a classic hip-hop album called Only Built 4 Cuban Linx... & they are having a summer sale with 30% to 60% discount rates.

I thought of buying albums online but scams are everywhere on the internet as i know it. So i stick to the traditional way.

I have finished 2 papers of my 4 modules. So far, Maths is my most confident module. But for physics and EID, these are my greatest worries. I cannot understand even the slightest thing my physics lecturer( lectures lessons) is teaching.

There are many things on my mind right now. Been looking out for new LG or Sony Ericsson phones as i am nearing the end of my contract in September. I am quite interested in the LG Secret which incorporate touchscreen technology.

Sony Ericsson made not much changes to their functions and features.

I am glad with a pass in all my modules as i do not have high expectations for my engineering course.

I've been wanting to meet up my secondary school friends to do some real catching up, y'all know who you are.

Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen

Review:

Finally after 2 years of waiting, Transformers 2 has stormed the silverscreen again. I went to GV Tampines today and many tickets are snapped up and i can see the that the show is the most anticipated in the summer.

There are more robots interactions & emphasis for this show. The graphics and sound effects definitely will let you hold on to your seat. The plot is just "ok" in my view as it was quite confusing with new characters spawning out of nowhere during the 2 hr 30 mins show.

However, there are many heart-thumping moments which generate excitement and a little bit of comedic relief that can make you laugh your heart out.

In the end, i can say this is the best show of the year and there are mentions of a sequel in the near future.

There you have it. Cristiano Ronaldo has moved to Real Madrid for a world record-breaking of 80 million pounds. At first, i thought that Manchester United was giving away their golden goose.

6 years ago, nobody knew who Ronaldo was until he joined Manchester United. That was the time where he began to spread his wings and become one of the best players in the world today.

However, i do not think that Manchester United will be suffering a huge loss as they have a very big squad and there are links that Manchester United is interested in Wigan's Antonio Valencia as a replacement for Ronaldo.

Whoever new players they signed, i am sure Manchester Untied will remain at the peak on the next season.

Review:

This is the 1st album from Eminem since Encore and his musical hiatus. The album is a resurrection of his evil and insane alter-ego: Slim Shady.

20 tracks in total of which are produced entirely by Dr.Dre. It begins with Slim Shady turning into a serial killer and murders anyone he hates. Much of the album are reflective and Eminem returning to his old days poking fun at Hollywood stars and his mother.

The most emotional track is Beautiful where he talks about where his life had descended and how he recovers from the recent setbacks. The best track in the album in my mind.

The album songs feels like being recycled with hate raps and funny tones. However, a good way to return to the music world.

Break At Last....

Finally SP three week holidays has started. I can rest my mind for a while and settle my modules slowly to gain a better understanding.

However, the term break is meant for us to catch up with our work. On Monday, DCEG students year 2 students are required to attend a compulsory field trip at Science Centre.

I am going to use this 3 weeks to improve my modules as well as my driving skills.

I realized what is the real world for the engineers recently. The CTA module is a very good example. The tutorial lecturer wants us to refer to resources to obtain our answers. Engineers are to find out their own answers and solve it themselves.

This CTA module is the one who is giving me the headaches and i sure hope not to repeat this module ever....

Review:

This was actually a compilation album to introduce artists from Jay-Z's record label. It was marketed as a Jay-Z album in order to gain more attention.

Jay-Z decided to feature up and coming producers like Kanye West, The Neptunes and Just Blaze which would eventually become prominent producers in the mainstream today.

As Kanye West & Just Blaze are well-known for their soulful sampling skills, thus the album has a smooth and sample reliant sound. Jay-Z on the other hand was almost like a guest inside as the rappers took centre stage.

Technology: The Gift & Curse

Technology has improved dramatically over the past few decades and has helped humans achieved development significantly.

The Gift of technology is that it relieve us of rough work and provide comfort in our lives. In my mind engineers' job is to make people lazier and more dependent on automation. It also produced high-definition games which awed many around the world. High-speed internet enables us to access information with a click of the mouse.

The Curse of technology is that when something goes wrong, we humans tend to be very impatient and often gets frustrated when things are slow as they expected everything to be instantaneous. A very good example is the problem of gaming.

Youths nowadays are too engrossed with gaming and can easily go up to 6 hours marathon. When they lose a match in the game they will curse loudly and making a mountain out of a molehill. I have a sibling like this who always curse when he loses a match in DOTA. I am irritated as i cannot concentrate on my studies.

Its a sad issue in my mind.

I am sure that you folks know that Barcelona won the 2008/2009 Champions League.

I personally think they deserve to win as they put on a classic performance and had most of the possession. Well done for Barcelona.

As for my thoughts on Manchester United, Fergie made a wrong move by sitting Berbartov & Tevez on the bench & let Giggs on a loner hunt.

Both Rooney & Ronaldo was not at their best form during the later match and subsequently faded out.

Hello there folks.

Time really has flown by.... It is week 5 now and 2 more weeks to the mid-term holidays. But the holiday is meant for us to prepare for our MST which is going to take place right after that.

The complexity of Maths is killing me as i had to apply year 1 & 2 knowledge in order to solve the questions. Not to mention other modules....

As for my driving lesson, everything is gradually improving as i am taught the parking & slope skills. I plan to obtain my license within 6 months and wish me luck for achieving my target.

Red Devils Glory

Manchester United has won the EPL title again. That's a total of 18 league titles matching liverpool's record.

Now, all left is the Champions League vs Barcelona. I am confident that the Red Devils will retain the title and dominate Europe once again.

I have heard rumors that Fergie is retiring and the manager to take over him is Jose Mourihno. The former manager of Chelsea which won 2 consecutive league titles under his guidance. I sure hope he is the candidate to succeed Fergie(if he retires).

Long live the Red Devils.

Hip Hop Is Dead...

Here is my review:

This is one of the controversial albums in Nas' discography.

Many southern rappers took offense to the title due to critics that deemed southern rap as the source that cheapened the quality of hip hop with their club-banging songs.

The sound of the album is mixed with diverse production which included producers like Scott Storch, Dr.Dre & Kanye West.

Perhaps the most anticipated was the collaboration of 2 of the greatest MCs of all time on Black Republican which featured Jay-Z, Nas' one time rival. They sure did impress with the majestic sound that clearly was engineered to showcase the 2 rappers.

The 1st half of the album had a generally rock-influenced sound while the other half has a more soulful feel.

My favorite song is Still Dreaming produced by Kanye West.

Overall, the album was well produced. This is certainly one of Nas' best albums.

My workload is getting heavier by the weeks. My group in ACE are struggling in getting our PWM circuit to function. My GEMS module requires me to hand in my assignment by latest week 8(which is a holiday period).

I am going nuts with the assignments and the complexity in understanding of my modules. This is just the 4th week and i am seriously stressed up!!

I am been listening to Hip-Hop since my secondary school days. The 1st song was Cleanin' Out My Closet by Eminem.

At first, i have no idea what rap was about except for the profanities and raunchy issues mentioned. However, when i listened in depth, hip-hop is actually telling a story about a particular character.

I personally prefer 90's style of Hip-Hop as they rap about true issues happening in the hood. The sound was not radio friendly and this is the true essence of Hip-Hop in my mind.

For East Coast Hip-Hop, the rappers focused more on lyrical dexterity, creativity and the beats are sparse and rough. As for West Coast Hip-Hop, the rappers focused on real-life issues and hard life and the beats are smoother.

I generally prefer lyrical skills but beats are also important. Thus my favourite albums are more of East Coast eg. Illmatic.

But the quality of hip-hop of today is watered down drastically as it is too commercialized. The number rappers who ventured into the mainstream and remained successful is small.

This was promoted as Jay-Z's final solo album in 2003. It was marketed as a street album with the return to his Reasonable Doubt roots.

Though it appears to be a street album, most of the songs are produced by mainstream-oriented producers like Kanye West, The Neptunes & Just Blaze etc. Besides that, the album was very well-produced.

The album had an almost all solo effort( as well as The Blueprint) except for Pharell that appeared on 2 tracks singing falsetto.

My favorite track is Moment of Clarity produced by Eminem as the ominous sound sets you up for a serious tone. Another is Dirt Off Your Shoulders produced by Timbaland with the essence of "street" sound.

Hello there people, its been a while since i updated...

School's fine but since the outbreak of the Swine flu or H1N1 so to speak, our school has implemented measures like temperature recording on a daily basis and the mandatory wearing of issued lanyards with our admin card in order to gain easier access into the school compound.

They even sent an SMS informing us to bring our thermometers on a daily basis starting tomorrow.

The world is pretty much in disarray now( or it has been since mankind started?). The economy's screwed up & worse still there is the outbreak of Swine flu. The wound is just too big & deep.

I personally think that it will take a while to recover from the current problems we are facing now.

P.S: Its a crazy mixed-up world.

Here is my review:

This was one of the highest selling rap albums in its 1st week release.

Unfortunately, the album did not meet up to the high expectations of fans and critics. This time the sound came from more diverse producers and with lesser input production from renowned producers like Dr.Dre and Eminem.

Although 50 cent has no problems popping the charts with songs like Candy Shop, the sound was watered down and the lyrics are not as exciting compared to his debut album.

Production by Scott Storch was probably Fiddy's highlight for the album.

Here is my review:

This is the commercial debut of 50 cent. It was what magazines called the "most hyped up album in a decade" due to the smash single " In da Club" which excite the mainstream community.

The album can be considered as a dark album due to the issues mentioned but has some club-oriented songs like In da Club, 21 Questions & P.I.M.P.

Although there were much hype surrounding the album. When i bumped it, it was not as great as i expect it to be. The production was excellent and 50 cent's talent to write hooks was undeniable but when it comes to verses he needs significant amount of improvement.

I considered this to be 50 cent's best record in terms of sales, sound. The singles went on to become one of the most popular rap songs in the charts.

Tonight is the Star Awards show.

The nominees this year are mostly The Little Nyonya serial actors/actress. Personally, i feel the show was overrated and the reason it was so successful because many people are attracted to the history of Peranakans & their culture. Therefore, it became some sort of lucrative business that it spawned "branches" of peranakan variety shows and even musical.

The acting in the show is just lukewarm in my view and the show that truly deserves the Best Drama Serial is Perfect Cut. The script was excellent and the showcased emotions was real and you can feel the characters pain and stress. The show maybe the best performance by the casting. It was the best drama i had seen in recent years.

I will be surprised if Perfect Cut did not win the Best Drama award.

break. The school is just in its 1st week and i am bombarded with projects and tutorials.

Although year 2 students have less modules, the workload is not any lighter from year 1 and in fact heavier than ever.

The modules are semester-oriented and the percentage is high for the MST & sessional exam. Any failed module will be required to retake at the next semester.

Above all else, i am aiming to do better than the foundation year and it starts now!

Enough is enough!!!!

I am sick of seeing my brother throwing his temper around. He came back late today with a glum look on his face and start to lose his temper when my dad voiced his concern about him. He threw his book in front of dad and even threaten to fight with me.

He retorted that he is "stressed up" in his studies. Who ask him to participate in so many activities in and outside of school? He wanted to get CCA points for DPA. Can you believe it?? Depending only on CCA ain't enough and he knows it.

My family had not seen him revising his work at home. Every time my parents called him he said that he is "studying" in school. Personally, we know that he is lying through his stupid leather face. He was probably hanging out with those wanksta friends of his.

My family had been very patient towards his "Gangster" attitude since he entered into secondary school and he doesn't give a fuck about those who cared for him. He had really gone TOO FAR this time!!!!!!! Even my youngest brother cared about his two elder brother quarreling and it is obvious that he wants the family to be happy. But he is being treated as an embarrassment by my brother.

He has that everybody-owes-me-something attitude which i hate. He does not listen to even a single advice from my parents and he wants them to buy him expensive things like the new C905. All my parents wanted from him is being filial and obedient and he cannot even give these simplest things to them!

I wanna say this: You turned the whole family upside down!!!!!!!!!!!! I am past caring towards you. The family will be peaceful and happier without YOU!. Then i will say Good Riddance and piss in your maggot-infested carcass!!!!!!!

Dawning of Year 2

Tomorrow will be the official commencement of all the Polytechnics. I have a mixed feeling when thinking about going back to school.

Firstly, i am happy that i can meet my friends since the 7 week holidays. Secondly, going back to study again makes me bored.

Oh well.... The timetable is better for us this time with alternate Tuesdays dismissing at 3pm.

New Skill

Been a while since i updated....

I took driving lessons this week and it was a good feeling indeed. It was auto-transmission as i feel that it is more practical as manual cars are facing out gradually with the exception of commercial & racing vehicles.

On the 1st lesson, i drove around the Bedok area to familiarize myself with the controls and the habits of observing the traffic around me.

The second lesson led me to Tampines area where i faced heavier traffic and i was nervous as there are many cars around and i was led to an empty area to sharpen my skills of changing lanes and U-turning. My instructor commented that i lacked coordination in braking and steering but it was just my 2nd lesson and will gradually get used to the car as i practice on.

Lost interest...

I have not been watching WWE anymore since 2007.

Ever since they began to appeal to the mainstream audience, the quality of the storylines was bad and brutality of the matches toned down drastically. Some of the "push" for upcoming superstars was recevied poorly by the audiences. Many superstars have jump ship to other well-known organizations like TNA.

The best of WWE was during the "Attitude" era when both WWE & WCW were vying for supremacy. The storylines were more edgy and explicit in terms of language & matches. This was also the period where huge superstars were born. They are: Stone Cold, The Rock, DX, Triple H etc.

If WWE moved to more explicit themes, i guessed the reception will be better and the audience numbers will soar.

Fast & Furious

I went to catch the opening of Fast & Furious today.

It is certainly the best film of the entire franchise. Although the cars featured are rather "old"and the "angry" sound from the muscle cars is catching. This film has the least CGI production out of all previous films. The stunts are performed live by highly trained stuntmen and leaves you to fasten the seat belt. The film is action-oriented.

It is worth the money in my mind to catch this film for action moviegoers.

Speaking of cars, next week will be my 1st class 3A circuit training and i am very excited and a little nervous about it.

Year 2......

is in two weeks time. The feeling that school reopening dampens my holiday mood. It just passes so quickly that i can remember the day when we finished the last exam paper prior to the holidays.

I just picked my GEMs for the second time and is the Arts & Humanities cluster. Digital Imaging is what i chose and is more of a photoshop module that teaches us how to edit photos creatively. Frankly speaking, the GEMs are not very interesting...

Year 2's timetable is very good to us this time. No year long modules and we can be dismissed at 12 noon on three days. However, there are also more work for us along the way.

Memories

I am back for an update on the 3D2N chalet at Downtown East.

Day 1: We met up at Tetsu/Ryo house to gather all the stuff we need. It was a pity that Evonne cannot join us as she was down with fever( Get well soon!). It was quite a terrible day for us with problems like verification issue etc. However, all gets well when we went out for a midnight movie: Confessions of a Shopaholic.

Day 2: We woke up at noon and headed to X-zone for some arcade. After arcade, we rented The Pursuit Of Happyness to kill time till evening. As for the second BBQ, it was successful as we managed to get the fire to burn consistently( thanks to Jun Huang & Tetsu).

Day 3: Today, i woke up at 5.30am automatically & slacked till Jun Huang awoke. Ryo & Tetsu had gone off to study & work while me and Jun Huang mingled and checked out at 9am.

These 3 days have been great, i will be looking forward to gather with y'all again.:)

Here is my review:

This was the first solo album by Dr.Dre since the separation of N.W.A. This album introduced G-Funk aka Gangsta Funk into the Hip-Hop community.

Dr.Dre altered the West Coast sound into a smooth and laid back delivery of rapping style. It also introduced Snoop Dogg( then Snoop Doggy Dogg) into the industry. Snoop Dogg was heavily involved in the album as seen by his guest appearances. The sound was sample-reliant from Funk artists like George Clinton.

It also made Gangsta Rap into a "party-like" theme.

It has been regarded by many to be the most well-produced hip-hop album of all time. It also received the honor of being in Rolling Stones List of 500 greatest albums of all time.

Ranked 137th which was very high for a rap album.

It is the masterpiece of West Coast Hip-Hop and one of the greatest and influential hip-hop albums of all time.

Tomorrow is the day that i will finally meet up with Jun Huang, Evonne, Ryo & Tetsu.

Tetsu organized a 3D2N chalet at Downtown East Costa Sands resorts. I have not seen them for more than half a year.

Besides, a Happy 19th Birthday to Jun Huang!!!!

Here is my review:

This is perhaps the most aggressive & controversial album by Eminem. The background of the album takes a serious tone with suppressed frustrations and anger being thrashed out.

Controversy surrounds due to the violent and homophobic lyrics displayed throughout the album.

The whole album talks about the problems with his marriage, life & success. The song The Way I Am attacks those who criticized his debut album and the fans that harassed him. Even with the harsh tone, Eminem also displays his creative lyrical ability to write stories on the song "Stan".

"Kim" is probably the most violent & gory song by an artist. It talks about his hatred of his wife and how he murdered her in the end for her infidelity as he delivered the song by shouting.

However, even with the controversies... It is considered as Eminem's best record and one of the greatest hip hop albums of all time.

Here is my review:

This is the 3rd album by Kanye West. This album has a more laid back feel than his previous works. It was also his shortest album.

Production-wise, Kanye West explored more genres like retro music. The album has a personal feel compared to his previous albums which focused on life.

This has a rougher and slower sound.

The album definitely does not possess the smoothness of College Dropout & "kick" that Late Registration had.

Here is my review:

This is the second album by Kanye West. This album has a more cinematic & atmospheric feel compared to the soulful The College Dropout.

For this effort, Kanye West is sampling more diverse genres and the album flowed with different sounds. Featured guests are all in their top-form and makes the record very enjoyable.

Smash hits like Gold Digger talks about women greed for money. Diamonds from Sierra Leone talks about how diamonds came from bloody wars.

Here is my review:

This is the debut album by Kanye West.

The album has an autobiographical feel and was humorous. The release gave people a fresh feel of hip-hop that diverts away from the crime, violent & sexual fantasies which many rap albums possessed.

It talks about life in general and how college life is. Having fun and be serious at the same time is spread throughout the album. It was also sample-heavy and smash hits like Jesus Walks topped the charts around the world.

Here is my review:

This is the 3rd album of 50 cent. The album can be considered the weakest in his discography though there is a smash hit song in the charts(Ayo Technology).

The featured singers/rappers are platinum-selling artists like Akon, Mary J Blige, Justin Timberlake etc.. But the overall sound of the album is generally disappointing for an established rapper. Although the lyrics are witty and creative, it is still weak compared to his debut album Get Rich or Die Tryin' .

The album is also divided between hard and soft songs thus ruining the flow.

This is the debut album that ushered The Game into the music world. He comes out as a hungry person determined to leave a huge footprint in Hip-Hop.

The album production is excellent with the essence of West Coast. One drawback is the constant name-referencing of renown rappers and personalities that undermine his lyrical ability thus lacking originality. However, this is not really a true Gangsta Rap album as it appeals to the mainstream.

This album can be considered his best record in term of sales and sound.

This was the first double Hip Hop album in history. 2Pac moved away from the socio-conscious mindset to a more gangsta and thug-orientated behaviour in this album. The album was easily the most well produced in 2pac's discography.

It embraces "party-club" songs that leaves the listener head bobbing. Many of the tracks are consider "classics" in my view and arguably the best West Coast album in the rap world. The album still contain soulful songs that reflects about his past life and deceased friends.

It can be considered as 2pac's magnum opus.

Rating: 5/5 Stars.

Life After Death...

Here is my review:

The was the last double album by late rapper The Notorious B.I.G. This is one of the first Hip Hop albums to successfully cross over to the mainstream.

The sound of the album are more upbeat & polished than his debut album Ready to Die. However, it retained the dark theme and gangsta rhetoric that blended well with his flow.

Production-wise, the album was very well produced and the flow is excellent with dark stories on the mafia lifestyle. This is certainly a landmark Mafioso Rap album in hip-hop and a must have for rap fans.

It stands besides Reasonable Doubt as defining the theme for Mafioso Rap.

Rating: 4.5/5 stars

Finally......

Hello there folks.

Finally, i hung out with Mark & Zi Jie yesterday to catch the movie Mall Cop at Tiong Bahru. The show was very funny although it was quite short. We had our lunch buffet at Sakae Sushi and crack jokes with each other while catching up with our lives.

It was fun hanging out with y'all and hope to meet up soon.

As forJia hao's clique. Yo guys, i apologize for not being able to attend today's BBQ as i am dead-beat from yesterday's outing. However, i will make myself available next time and been wanting to play bowling with y'all for a long time.

Military State Of Mind

Went back to SP to return materials and borrowed some more documentaries.

After that, i trained down to The Heeren to get a DVD on military documentary: Future Weapons. It showcases the latest military technology around the world but mainly in the US. At this age, i am increasing drawn to military stuff and been checking out weapons of the present and future.

Shoutout to Jun Huang: Yo buddy, you should get this documentary, i guarantee that the showcased weapons will leave you amazed.

American Gangster

Review:

This concept album was inspired by the movie American Gangster. Much of the album was produced by The Hitmen.

This album feel almost like Jigga was making Reasonable Doubt 2 with topics that deal with the life of hustling on the streets but with another character Frank Lucas. This album embodies retro music but possessed a polished sound compared to his debut. The album does not have any chart topping songs which what i think Jay-Z can demonstrate his best rapping and lyrical skills without having to worry about making "clean" songs to fit the radio.

The album flowed well with upbeat and introspective moments but it would be perfect if Jigga did a one-man show.

Jay-Z sounded relax and adjust his flow very well and thus this is one of my favourite hip-hop albums in my collection. I just can't stop listening for this album.

This was definitely one of Jay-Z's best records.
